Yogi government is working rapidly on infrastructure and industry expansion for the goal of ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh 2047’. More than 98 lakh suggestions have been received for the vision document.
Lucknow. Yogi government is working at a fast pace on infrastructure and industry expansion to include Uttar Pradesh in the list of developed states of the country by the year 2047. The preparation of ‘Vikas Uttar Pradesh 2047’ vision document is ongoing and till now suggestions have been taken from more than 98 lakh people and stakeholders. Most of the suggestions are related to agriculture, rural development and education. Chief Minister Yogi has called it a positive sign of active participation of the public.
Focus on giving new pace to industrial development
The state is moving towards the goal of becoming a trillion dollar economy. The long term goal is to create a six trillion dollar economy by the year 2047. To meet these objectives, an annual growth rate of 15–16 percent is required.
Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2022 is playing an important role in achieving these goals. Under this, eligible industrial units get capital subsidy up to 25%. This facility is earmarked for Rs 45 crore in Purvanchal and Bundelkhand, so that these areas can be made new industrial centres.
Big discount in stamp duty boosts investors’ confidence
To make land purchase easier for investors, the government has given big relaxation in stamp duty.
- Purvanchal and Bundelkhand: 100% discount
- Madhyanchal and Paschimanchal: 75% discount
- Noida-Ghaziabad: 50% discount
The government believes that this step will attract new industries and encourage old industries to expand.
UP’s rapidly developing infrastructure network
Yogi government has given priority to infrastructure development in the last years. Today UP has become the state providing the largest connectivity network in the country with 13 expressways and 5 international airports. This strong network is establishing Uttar Pradesh as a fast-growing logistics hub and providing better transportation and connectivity to the industries.
Industrial capacity will increase, new employment opportunities will be created
Of the Rs 8,08,736 crore budgeted for FY 2025–26, about 22% has been earmarked for infrastructure development. According to this:
- expressway
- industrial corridor
- Warehousing
- Multimodal Logistics Hub
- new industrial cities
Are being developed rapidly. The government believes that with these efforts the industrial capacity of the state will increase manifold and lakhs of employment opportunities will be created. The vision of ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh 2047’ has now become a process in which policy, development and public participation are together strengthening the future of the state.
