They will be closed soon, the file of which has been approved by the CM. The Education Minister has given instructions on this. Along with this, instructions have also been given to 443 schools for decreasing the status of merge and 75 schools.

According to the information, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given his approval to these matters on Thursday. Now its official notification is yet to be issued by the School Education Department. It is said that due to the closure and merging of these schools, 1120 teachers will be surplus, which will be kept in the surplus pool. After that such schools where posts are vacant and children need teachers there, they will be deployed there. The closed schools have 72 primary, 28 middle and three high schools. 443 schools with less than 10 students will be merged. The status of 75 schools will be reduced. Senior secondary schools where there are less than 25 students from classes six to 12 and second school at a distance of five kilometers will be merged. In the first to 12th, where there are less than 10 children and the second school at a distance of five kilometers, it will also be merged. The third such schools that have less than five children will be reduced. Students who are registered in these schools will be admitted to the adjacent schools. Let us know that 1200 schools have been closed and merged in two and a half years. This has helped to strengthen the infrastructure of education, which has also seen a widespread improvement in the quality of education. The government is focusing on this. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu himself is going to government schools and examining the quality of education. Recently, the CM has told the teachers that children should also be given education of general knowledge.

The Chief Minister was sent to the Chief Minister for closure of zero investment schools and merging some schools. Today, approval has been received from there, after which the Education Department has been asked to take immediate steps.
