There may be a rise of 12 percent

Nomura believes that “The addition of Sierra to the portfolio is likely to drive passenger vehicle growth for Tata Motors during FY 2026-28. Nomura estimates vehicle sales to be around 609,000 vehicles in FY26 and is expected to increase to 723,000 vehicles by FY28. It is expected to increase from 50,000 vehicles per month in FY26 to 60,000 vehicles per month by FY28.
Sierra can increase overall sales
Booking of this model will start from December 16, 2025 and delivery will start from January 15, 2026. Tata Group’s passenger vehicle maker has been introduced in a new and modern avatar. It is loaded with features and offers a premium in-cabin experience. Nomura emphasized that “the pricing is aggressive because even the base variants are loaded with features. We expect potential sales of the Sierra to be 10,000 per month.
Why is Sierra important for Tata Motors?
Nomura believes that with the GST cut, consumers are increasingly moving towards premium models, so Sierra is well positioned to take advantage of this shift. The Sierra will be available in three powertrain options including a 1.5-litre Cryojet diesel and two new petrol powertrains, a 1.5-litre TGDI Hyperion, and a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre Revotro engine. It will be available in seven trims. With 622 liters of storage, the Sierra offers the largest boot space in the segment. Apart from this, features like Horizon View triple-screen setup, the segment’s largest panoramic sunroof spanning 1525 mm x 925 mm, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS with 22 features, HypAR heads-up display, 5G connectivity for the first time in the industry, Sonicshaft soundbar and 12-speaker JBL system are also present.
Tata Motors shares rise
There was a good rise in the shares of Tata Motors on Wednesday. Shares of Tata Motors PV were seen at Rs 362.80 with a rise of about 3 percent during the trading session.
