Expert opinion

Ayurveda expert Kiran Gupta said that sitting in the sun from 7 to 8 in the morning is considered best. But due to cold or fog the sun is not visible quickly. In such a situation, one can sunbathe even at 10 o’clock. But there is no benefit in sitting in the hot and strong sun. Because UV rays can harm health and skin. The sun is very strong from 12 to 3 o’clock. In such a situation, one should avoid sitting in the sun at this time. You can sit in the sun at 4 pm. Because at this time the sun rays are not very strong.

Foods rich in Vitamin D such as milk, curd, mushroom, spinach, lady’s finger, broccoli and sweet potato should always be included in the diet. At the same time, if you sit in the sun for some time like 15 to 20 minutes a day, then the nutrients present in these foods, especially Vitamin D, are absorbed well.
