Subramaniameshwara Swamy Temple Mallavaram
Mallavaram village is in Gollaprolu mandal of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. There is Subramanyeswara Swamy temple in this Mallavaram, which is famous for granting boons to childless couples. Special worship is done here for the prevention of snake defects and for the birth of a child. This temple seems like a boon for those women who are tired of waiting for motherhood.
Women coming to this temple believe that just by sleeping here, their sins are washed away and they get blessed with a child. Glory of Subrahmanyeshwar Swamy Temple
It is said that this area was earlier ruled by the Cholas and based on that, a farmer found some inscriptions including manuscripts written on copper plates and palm leaves in his field. In 1960, a farmer saw a large snake in the field where palm leaves were found. In 1962, some elders of Mallavaram village laid the foundation stone of a temple where the snake lived.
The priests of the temple told that after laying the foundation stone, the snake incarnated as God. The priests of the temple also told that after some time another big snake used to come to this temple regularly and take bath in the Koneru there and was worshiped by the devotees in the temple.
However, Prophet Chaganti Koteswara Rao visited this temple on several occasions and spoke about the uniqueness of this temple. Since then, the number of devotees visiting this temple has increased tremendously. This temple is filled with devotees on those days when Shashthi of Lord Subrahmanyeshwar Swamy and Shashthi Tuesday of Shivratri month coincide. Women wait in queue to get tokens for gold in this temple.
