Rules for keeping Ganga water at home

Ganga water should always be kept in a copper or brass vessel. It should be kept in the north-east direction of the house i.e. in the north-east corner. Doing this is considered auspicious. Ganga water should not be kept in a dark or dirty place. It should never be touched with impure hands. Ganga water should not be kept in plastic vessels. Doing this reduces its effect.
