What did Imran Khan’s sisters say?

Imran Khan’s sisters told in a letter to Punjab Police Chief Usman Anwar that the attack on him was already part of the plan and happened without any provocation. Nooreen Niaz said, ‘We were protesting peacefully regarding our brother’s health. We neither blocked the road, nor obstructed anyone’s movement, nor did any illegal activity. Despite this, the street lights were switched off without any warning and the Punjab Police carried out a brutal attack. Nooreen, 71, said she was thrown to the ground by her hair and dragged onto the road, leaving her with visible injuries. Other women were also slapped and dragged. The sisters said the attack was part of a broader violent police policy against civilians who had been protesting peacefully for three years. He demanded immediate action from IG Punjab against all concerned policemen.

How long has Imran Khan been in jail?

Imran Khan is lodged in Adiala jail since August 2023 regarding several cases. According to PTI, he has been kept in complete isolation and solitary confinement. Visits have been banned, and even access to their legal representatives and essential supplies has been cut off. Afridi tried seven times, but his visit was blocked by prison officials, who were reportedly under the control of an army officer.

Later, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting termed this press release as fake and appealed to the public not to fall into such mischief. Here once again, after rumors of Imran Khan’s death, thousands of PTI supporters gathered outside the jail and demanded the authorities to give information about the health of their leader. Due to increasing pressure, the military government deployed hundreds of additional security personnel around the prison.
