The situation has become so bad after vandalism and arson by students that the administration had to deploy police and paramilitary forces from five police stations on the campus. The fire brigade team is busy extinguishing the fire on the spot. Thousands of students are also leaving the university and returning to their homes.
Because of this the students got so angry
Actually, this whole issue is about poor quality food and dirty water. Regarding which the students had complained to the university administration several times. When the students complained again on Tuesday, the guard posted there beat them up. After this the students gathered in large numbers and started protesting. Immediately the matter started worsening and the students set fire to their college building and the buses and cars parked there. After the vandalism and arson, a large number of police reached the spot and the matter finally calmed down.
More than 100 students fell ill and many died
The protesting students said that they are given dirty water to drink in the university. Besides, the quality of food is also very bad. Our health is deteriorating due to bad water and food. Many colleagues have even suffered from jaundice. He said – More than 100 students are admitted in Bhopal, Sehore and Ashta. Not only this, he claimed that some students even died because of this. Even after all this, when the university administration did not listen to us, we started protesting somewhere.
University administration told a different thing
At the same time, the statement of VIT Bhopal University Registrar KK Nair has come out on this entire matter. He released the video and said – Whatever allegations the students have made are completely wrong and baseless. No student has died due to jaundice in the university. Nor is poor quality food or water provided in the campus. This is just a rumour.
