New Delhi: OpenAI has launched a significant redesign of ChatGPT, integrating both voice and text interfaces into one smooth experience. Users are also able to talk in a normal way in any chat, and they can see the reply in the form of text, audio or image without changing modes. ChatGPT Voice has a new layout that supports displaying maps in real time, whereas the former voice-only version did not.
The update has an added scrolling transcript within the chat window, thus facilitating the revisiting of specifics and long conversations as well as the ability to switch between listening and reading at any one time. According to OpenAI, the integrated installation will be more fluid and interactive, particularly for the users who are dependent on voice-led activities.
Voice and text come together
The integrated interface will allow users to begin chatting instantly in any given chat and have mixed-format replies. Visual updates, maps, and text will load together with the voice output, and this will make the assistant appear more integrated.

All verbal communication is presented in a written form. This eases navigation and also assists the users in following lengthy or in-depth conversations.
Individuals who feel more comfortable with the previous voice-only layout are able to revert to this layout behind a settings option. OpenAI mentions that although the option is present, at the moment, the unified mode is bound to be the default one as the platform is being developed.
The redesign is also slowly becoming available to every mobile and web user. ChatGPT Voice is updated and then used directly within the main chat window, making it a seamless back-and-forth conversation without any mode switching.
