On Tuesday, the atmosphere at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya became one to be recorded in history, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the religious flag at a height of 161 feet on the main peak. This flag hoisting became a living symbol of the tradition of the Ramayana period.
The entire complex echoed with conch shells, Vedic mantras and bells.
As soon as the flag hoisting process started in Abhijeet Muhurta, the sound of conch shells, Vedic chanting and bells echoed in the entire campus. The Prime Minister pressed the button and the religious flag slowly started rising. This amazing confluence of modern technology and ancient tradition was worth seeing.

- Kovidar tree: sign of victory and prosperity
The flag is in saffron colour, which is considered a symbol of protection of religion, penance and sacrifice.
