At the flag hoisting ceremony in Ayodhya, PM Modi described Ram temple as a symbol of the renaissance of Indian civilization. He called for adopting the ideals of Ram in life, freedom from mental slavery and building a developed India by 2047.
Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave an emotional address at the hoisting ceremony of the saffron religious flag on the peak of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya Dham. He started his talk with ‘Siyavar Ramchandra ki Jai, Jai Siyaram’. He said that today Ayodhya is witness to another great moment of India’s cultural consciousness. The whole of India and the world is filled with joy. There is satisfaction, gratitude and joy within every Ram devotee. Age-old wounds are healing and age-old pain is coming to an end. The sacrifice of five hundred years of penance, struggle and faith has been completed today. The Prime Minister said that the divine energy of the sanctum sanctorum of Ramlala has now been installed in the grand temple in the form of this religious flag.
Dharmadhwaj: Symbol of renaissance of Indian civilization
PM Modi said that this religious flag is not just a flag but a symbol of the renaissance of Indian civilization. Its saffron color represents the glory of the Suryavansh, the mantra of ‘Om’ and the Kovidar tree represents the ideals of Ramrajya. This flag is a story of struggle, determination and success. This flag will proclaim the victory of truth for centuries. This will inspire that ‘life may go but words should not go’, ‘karma pradhan world rachi raha’ and will give the message of peace and happiness in the society.
Symbol of the mission and philosophy of the temple
The Prime Minister said that those who cannot come to the temple for some reason can attain virtue by paying obeisance to the Dharmadhvaj. This flag symbolizes the purpose of the temple and will make one see the birthplace of Ramlala from a distance. He expressed gratitude to crores of Ram devotees, donors, laborers, planners and architects who contributed in the construction of the temple.
Ayodhya: The land that transforms ideals into practice
PM Modi said that Ayodhya is the land where ideals turn into practice. This is the city from where Shri Ram started his life. Countless people including gurus, friends, devotees and tribal society played a role in Ram becoming Maryada Purushottam. Ayodhya teaches that the power of society makes a person the best man.
Ram Temple: Symbol of India’s collective power
The Prime Minister said that collective power is necessary for a developed India. The courtyard of Ram temple is becoming the center of this collective consciousness of the country. There are also temples of Sapta Mandir, Shabari, Nishadraj, Maharshi and Tulsidas. The statues of Jatayu and the squirrel give the message of fulfillment of big resolutions even with small efforts.
Ram connects everyone – not discrimination, but with feelings
PM Modi said that for Ram, devotion is not important, one’s clan is important. They connect not by difference, but by feeling. In the last 11 years, every section like Dalit, poor, backward, tribal, youth and farmers has been kept at the center of development. The goal of a developed India by 2047 will be achieved only when every section is strong.
It is important to prepare for the future along with the present.
The Prime Minister said that at the time of Ramlala’s consecration, he had said that the foundation of India has to be strengthened for the coming thousand years. Those who think only about the present do injustice to the future generations. India was there before and will be there in future also – hence foresight is necessary.
Call to adopt the ideals of Lord Ram in life
PM Modi said that Ram is a confluence of ideals, dignity, truth, bravery, gratitude, compassion and discipline. A developed India will be created by 2047 only when every Indian awakens the values of Ram within himself.
Pride in heritage and freedom from slavery mentality
The Prime Minister said that Macaulay laid the foundation of mental slavery in 1835. India will have to be completely freed from this mentality by 2035, 200 years after independence. India is the mother of democracy – it is in our DNA. He said that symbols of slavery have also been removed from the naval flag and the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been given place.
The real meaning of Ramtva – connection with the national identity.
PM Modi said that Ram is in every particle of India. But the mentality of slavery denied Ramatva for years. If we resolve, complete freedom from mental slavery is possible in the next 10 years.
Foundation of the next 1000 years
The Prime Minister said that India’s power will be strengthened only when the thinking of slavery is completely eradicated in the coming 10 years. Ayodhya is emerging as a new model of development in the 21st century, where tradition and modernity are moving forward together. Here a confluence of both spirituality and artificial intelligence will be seen.
Continuous work for the prosperity of Ayodhya people
Rampath, Bhaktipath, Janmabhoomi Path, modern airport, railway station and connectivity have changed the face of Ayodhya. After Pran Pratistha, about 45 crore devotees have visited so far, due to which the income of the local people has increased. Ayodhya is now included in the leading cities of UP.
Growing potential of India’s economy
The Prime Minister said that in 70 years after independence, India had become the 11th economy, but in the last 11 years India has become the fifth. Now India is close to becoming the third largest economy in the world. Ram’s ideals will give us direction in future also.
The goal of developed India inspired by Ramrajya
The Prime Minister said that to travel to a developed India, we need a chariot which has courage, patience, truth, conduct, strength, intelligence, discipline and compassion. India will have to move forward on the basic spirit of Ramrajya – where national interest is paramount.
