Ayodhya Ram Temple Land Scam Case: Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, which has become the center of faith for crores of Hindus, is in the news these days for everything from donation theft to land scam. Now an MP has handed over the evidence related to this to the SIT.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday handed over all the evidence of an alleged “land scam” related to Ayodhya Ram temple to the Special Investigation Team (SIT). There is all the truth in these documents. Who bought land worth Rs 2 crore for Rs 18 crore? The whole truth is written in these papers. The AAP MP said that even after all this coming to light, why has no action been taken yet? Action should have been taken by now.”
After donation, now Ram temple land scam
In a letter to the SIT, Singh said that this alleged embezzlement in donations has hurt the faith of crores of devotees.
He wrote, “I would like to draw your attention to the scams committed by the Trust, which is looking after the management of Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, which has deeply hurt the faith of crores of Hindus across the country. Recently, in the case of theft of crores of rupees from the donation box, the names of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, Gopal Rao, Tinku Yadav and others have come to light. This is not a case of minor theft; even before this, Lord Shri Ram A scam worth crores has taken place regarding the land purchased in the name, the evidence of which I have already presented before the administration and the media, yet the government has not taken any action.
Bought land worth Rs 2 crore for Rs 18 crore
Sanjay Singh said, accusing the members of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra of corruption and talking about purchasing the land. “In 2021, Trust General Secretary Champat Rai bought land worth Rs 2 crore from Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tiwari for Rs 18.5 crore. I had lodged a complaint about this in Ayodhya Kotwali police station, but no action has been taken till date. Similarly, land worth about Rs 3 crore was bought from Mahant Murali Das. 24 crores, and land worth Rs. 9 crores was purchased from Alok Bansal for approximately Rs. 55.5 crores. Apart from this, I have documents of several more land deals which have ample evidence of corruption within the Trust,” the letter read.
This veteran also made allegations against Champat Rai?
Earlier, Apni Janata Party President Swami Prasad Maurya had also attacked Champat Rai and raised questions as to why no FIR has been registered in the case yet. Maurya said, “Any police investigation without an FIR is unfair. When the entire Ram temple is running under the supervision of Champat Rai, who is the head of the trust, and people working on the instructions of Champat Rai are involved in this incident, then is Champat Rai not guilty? Can the Yogi government dare to take action against Champat Rai?”
Who was the first to disclose Ram Mandir donation?
Let us tell you that the three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed on the theft of donation of Ram Temple has submitted its report to Additional Chief Secretary (Home) of Uttar Pradesh Sanjay Prasad. SIT member Vijay Vishwas Pant said that the information in the report is confidential. This case started with the allegations of former Samajwadi Party MLA from Ayodhya, Pawan Pandey, in which he had claimed that Rs 7 crore to 7.5 crore from the donation of Ram temple was misused.
