According to ANI, Celina has sought Rs 50 crore in damages, along with additional compensation for loss of income and property she claims to have suffered during the marriage. After an initial verification, the magistrate issued a formal notice to Peter, who is currently based in Austria. He will now be required to respond to the notice as part of the ongoing legal process. The matter has been listed for its next hearing on December 12.

Celina, who represented India on the global stage as Miss Universe runner-up, married Peter in 2011 in Austria. Their marriage welcomed twin sons in 2012 and another set of twins in 2017. The couple, however, faced tragedy when one of the infants passed away shortly after birth due to a hypoplastic heart condition. Over the past decade, Celina maintained a largely private life away from the film industry, appearing only for key personal updates.

This case comes shortly after Celina filed another petition regarding her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Jaitly. Last month, she approached a Delhi court claiming that he had been “illegally abducted and detained” in the United Arab Emirates, where he had been living since 2016 while working with the MATITI Group. Celina stated that the Ministry of External Affairs had not been able to provide any substantial information about his well-being or legal status since September 2024. The court then directed authorities to facilitate communication between him and his family.
