The November mornings in Ayodhya are different this time. There is a chill in the air, but the warmth of Shraddha is felt more than before. Because on November 25, that scene will be seen in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, for which crores of Ram devotees waited for years – the hoisting of the religious flag on the peak of the Ram temple.

All three floors of the grand temple have been completed and now the journey of temple construction has reached an important stage. This is the same sacred flag which is placed on the peak only after the construction is completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform this grand ritual.

How did the modern journey of Ram temple begin?

  • Historic decision of the Supreme Court – 5 August 2019

The Supreme Court gave a decisive verdict on the dispute that has been going on for years. An order came to give the entire disputed land to the Hindu side and to provide separate land for the mosque. From this day the real path for the construction of Ram temple was cleared.

  • Bhoomi Pujan changed the direction – 5 August 2020

At the designated place, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. From here the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust formally took charge. Champat Rai was given the responsibility of the construction committee and Nripendra Mishra was given the chairmanship of the trust.

  • Bright day in Ramlala’s court – 22 January 2024

The eyes of the nation were on Ayodhya when PM Modi inaugurated the Ram temple. On the same day, a grand consecration took place. Lakhs of devotees and hundreds of special guests—including Sachin Tendulkar and Ranbir Kapoor—witnessed the historic moment.

  • Prestige of Ram Darbar – 5 June 2024

The spiritual energy of the complex became stronger with the consecration of the Ram Darbar established on the first floor of the temple. Idols of Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman were installed on the throne.

  • Completion of seven temples – 27 October 2024

The construction of all the associate temples including Sapt Mandap in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex was declared completed. Now Ramlala Temple, six temples of the park, Sheshavtar Temple and Sapt Mandap, all are ready for the visitors.

  • 25 November 2025: Auspicious time for hoisting the religious flag.

This special ritual will start at 12 noon. After about 20 minutes, the religious flag will start fluttering on the 191 feet high peak of the temple. The sounds of conch shells, mantras and bhajans will echo in the streets of Ayodhya and the temple complex will once again witness a historical scene.
