Pilgrims from other states are continuously reaching Ayodhya and the entire city looks full of religious joy. Shiv Narayan, who came from Pune, said that the development of Ayodhya is the result of the strong will of Modi-Yogi. Local lyricist Vikalp Trivedi also said that the dream of Ram temple has been fulfilled after ages and the saffron flag hoisted on 25th will be a symbol of this historic moment.

Rapid expansion of food and accommodation facilities in Ayodhya

Hotel and restaurant business is playing a big role in the economy. Udupi to Mumbai Restaurant Manager Shailendra Kumar Awasthi said that currently four restaurants are running and about 10 new restaurants are under construction.

He said that the target is to invest around Rs 100 crore in the city, out of which Rs 70 crore has already been invested. 2000-3000 people eat here every day, while on special occasions this number reaches 5000. Every month a business of about Rs 5-6 crore is being done and local youth are also getting employment.

Earnings increased even in small hotels and guest houses

Small hotels and guest houses have also benefited from the increasing number of tourists. Durgesh Verma, manager of Kaka Guest House located in Sabzi Mandi, said that earlier the business used to be around Rs 3000 per day, which has now increased to Rs 15000 per day. The hotel is full most days and the increasing number of foreign guests has further increased the income.

The ever-increasing crowd of devotees around the Ram temple has completely changed the atmosphere of the city. The increasing activity in Rampath, Hanumangarhi, Saryu Ghat and the temple complex shows that this change is permanent and Ayodhya has established a new identity at the global level.
