Ayodhya Ram temple land scam again in headlines! Sanjay Singh handed over 11 documents to SIT, questions raised on land deal worth crores. Suspense increased due to absence of FIR, will investigation reveal any big secret?
Lucknow: A major turning point has come to light amid the nationwide political turmoil over theft of offerings in Ayodhya Ram temple and alleged financial irregularities in land purchase. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh reached the office of SIT Chairman Vijay Vishwas Pant in Lucknow at exactly 11 am on Thursday. In this very confidential and important meeting which lasted only 12 minutes, Sanjay Singh has handed over 11 such documents related to the land scam, which has created a stir on the table of the investigating agency. As soon as he came out of the office, the MP took a sharp stance and asked that when all the evidence of recovery of money and theft has been found, then why has no one gone to jail till now and why has no FIR been registered?

That 12-minute meeting: Pages of donation ‘robbery’ revealed in front of SIT
Sanjay Singh has claimed that he has brought the original papers directly from the Ayodhya administration and government records, after which the accused have no way to escape. He presented point wise details of 11 pieces of evidence to the media, which directly point towards tampering with the faith of crores of Hindus and ‘robbery’ of the donation money:
- 18.5 crore game in 5 minutes: The land bought by Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tiwari from Harish-Kusum Pathak was sold to Ram Mandir Trust for Rs 18.5 crores just 5 minutes later. The surprising thing is that in both the purchase and sale, Trust member Anil Mishra and the then BJP Mayor Rishi Kumar Upadhyay were witnesses.
- Land worth 41 lakhs for 2 crores: Similarly, another land with market value of Rs 41.60 lakh was purchased directly from the trust account for Rs 2 crore.
- Champat Rai’s connection with nephew: Deepnarayan, nephew of the then BJP mayor, first bought a land for Rs 20 lakh and after just 7 months sold it to Champat Rai, general secretary of the trust. In another case, on May 14, 2020, Champat Rai bought the land donated to Deepnarayan for Rs 1 crore.
- Land worth Rs 9 crore for Rs 55 crore: On November 16, 2023, land worth Rs 9 crore was transferred to the name of the Trust for a record Rs 55.47 crore.
- Mega scam of Nazul land: The most sensational clue is from the deal of April 2, 2024, where land worth Rs 2.92 crore was sold to Champat Rai for Rs 24 crore. Sanjay Singh said that the SDM of Ayodhya himself has given in writing that this is ‘Nazul’ government land, which can neither be bought nor sold.

‘Lord Shri Ram’s paduka and necklace also missing’: Sensational claim of burglary in donation box
In this murder-like mystery and scam, not only land is at stake, but there are also allegations of major theft in Ram Lalla’s main donation box. MP Sanjay Singh alleged that there are frequent thefts in the offerings of Ram temple and the matter is being suppressed. He said that sometimes two kilos of silver and sometimes eight kilos of silver were being reported stolen. The limit has reached when even Lord Shri Ram’s main necklace and his sacred shoes (which Bharat ji had served for fourteen years) are being claimed stolen. Despite the recovery of money, this mysterious silence of the police raises many big questions.
Rumors of resignation and Shankaracharya’s sharp attack: ‘How to investigate the one who steals?’
Another suspense deepened on social media (X) since Thursday morning when many journalists and influencers claimed that Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and member Anil Mishra, surrounded by allegations of embezzlement of funds, have resigned from their posts. However, temple construction in-charge Gopal Rao and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) national general secretary Bajrang Lal Bagra, in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, completely rejected the talk of resignation, terming these reports as completely misleading and rumours.
Big statement of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda: “The same person should steal and the same person should investigate, where did this unique formula come from? When Uttar Pradesh and the Central Government themselves are already involved in the system there, then how can one expect impartial justice from the SIT created by them? This investigation is only being whitewashed in the name of the committee.”

A very shocking information has also been received quoting SIT sources that just a few months after the formation of the Trust in the year 2020, a private audit firm had given a written warning during the audit of huge administrative lapses and irregularities in donation management, financial monitoring and jewelery records. But the trust’s top brass ignored those financial reporting warnings and made no improvements.
Now the SIT team, surrounded from all sides, is scrutinizing the revenue records of the land valuation basis, market value and payment procedures during this land purchase. According to sources, very soon the SIT is preparing to send summons to three very influential people directly related to this mega-scam and interrogate them face to face, after which it is considered certain that there will be a major upheaval in the politics from Ayodhya to Lucknow.
Mountain of evidence or just allegations?
At present the matter is entangled between allegations, documents and claims. On one hand Sanjay Singh claims that he has such documents which can lead to many big revelations, while on the other hand the Trust and the people associated with it are rejecting all the allegations. Now everyone’s eyes are on the investigation of the SIT and its final report, because only that will decide whether this matter is just a political allegation or in reality the layers of a big financial scam are about to be revealed.
