PM Modi became emotional after hearing the news of Dharmendra’s demise, said – an era has ended

There is a wave of mourning not only in Bollywood but across the country due to the demise of veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has remembered He-Man in his emotional post and has written that his departure marks the end of an era of Indian cinema. PM Modi further wrote, “The way he played different roles has touched the hearts of countless people. Dharmendra ji was equally known for his simplicity, humility and love. In this hour of grief, my prayers are with his family, friends and countless fans. Om Shanti.”

Dharmendra was also an MP from Bharatiya Janata Party.

When did Dharmendra die?

According to media reports, Dharmendra, who was undergoing treatment at home, died on the intervening night of 23-24 November. Deol family has not confirmed this yet. But it is being told that he had informed the police in the night itself and had requested that no force should be deployed outside his house. Because he did not want a crowd of fans and media to gather outside his house. Dharmendra’s last rites were performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle in Mumbai on Monday afternoon.
