On Independence Day at Raipur Police Parade Ground, 780 children gave cultural performances of Chhattisgarh folk art. Mother’s Pride School, Laxmi Narayan Kanya Vidyalaya and Salem English School got first, second and third place in the competition respectively.

Raipur, 15 August 2025/ The state level Independence Day celebrations were organized at the Police Parade Ground in the capital Raipur. In this program, about 780 school children gave rich performances with folk art and culture of Chhattisgarh. In the presentation competition, Mother’s Pride School Raipur finished first, Laxmi Narayan Kanya Higher Secondary School Raipur got second place and Salem English Medium School Raipur finished third. The Chief Minister honored all the winners by giving them shield and medal.

Patriotic presentation of Mother’s Pride School Raipur

250 students of Mother’s Pride School performed dance-songs on patriotic remix songs like “O My Teri Mitra Bulaye Hi, Dara Lor Gehe Re …, Hamar Para Tuhar Para …”. It showed the spirit of protecting the motherland by the Indian Army and sacrificing life for the safety of women. The children also presented the Operation Sindoor of the Indian Armed Forces against the Pahalgam terror attack on the stage.

Laxmi Narayan Kanya Vidyalaya’s folk dance glimpse

200 students of Lakshmi Narayan Kanya Higher Secondary School performed a beautiful dance on the song “Hi Keh Gajari, Hi Kah Gajari”. In this presentation, the image of many traditional dances including Raut Nacha was presented to the audience. The children also included the festivals, folklores and their contribution to the freedom movement of Chhattisgarh in their presentation.

Cultural presentation of Salem English School Raipur

250 students of Salem English School performed a panoramic dance on the song “Bhuiya in Bhuiya in Chhattisgarh” on the song. In this, all the major folklore and culture of Chhattisgarh were threaded together.

The children displayed the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the state including Karma folk dance in a soulful manner.
