15 August 2025: PM Narendra Modi addressed the country from the Red Fort for the 12th consecutive time. During this, he made eight major announcements from GST Reform to Demography Mission.
Independence Day 2025: On the occasion of 79th Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi hoisted the flag on the Red Fort on Friday. He addressed the country for the 12th consecutive time from the Red Fort. During the 103 -minute speech, Narendra Modi made several big announcements. Said that India has to be developed by 2047. For this, nuclear energy has to be increased by 10 times. The mission will be started for the discovery of oil-gas in the sea.
8 major announcements of PM Narendra Modi’s address
1. Semiconductor: Narendra Modi said that the idea of setting up a semiconductor factory was 50-60 years ago. These ideas remained in the files. The idea of semiconductor production took place. India is now on mission mode. By the end of this year, the country will launch its first Made in India Chip.
2. Nuclear power will increase by 10 times by 2047: India’s nuclear power generation capacity is more than ten times by 2047. Work is going on on 10 new nuclear reactors.
3. GST Reform: The next generation of GST will be refined. The countrymen will get a big gift on Diwali. Tax on essential items will be reduced. MSME, local vendors and consumers will get relief.
4. Economy to be 10 trillion dollars: PM Modi announced the formation of a Reform Task Force to carry forward the reforms of the next generation. It aims to accelerate economic growth, reduce red tape, modernize governance and make India a $ 10 trillion economy by 2047.
5. PM Developed India Employment Scheme of Rs 1 lakh crore: PM Modi launched PM Developed India Employment Scheme of Rs 1 lakh crore. Under this, new employment youth will get 15000 rupees per month. The objective of this scheme is to benefit 3 crore young Indians.
6. High Power Demography Mission: PM Modi highlighted the dangers of demography imbalance due to infiltration and illegal migration into the border areas. He announced to launch a high power demography mission to deal with this national security challenge.
7. Energy freedom, sea churning begins: The Prime Minister said that a large part of India’s budget currently goes into the import of petrol, diesel and gas. He announced the introduction of the National Deepwater Explore Mission to exploit marine resources. Along with this, a large expansion in solar, hydrogen, hydroelectric and nuclear power was also announced.
8. Made in India Jet Engine: Prime Minister Modi said that we made vaccines during Kovid and developed UPI platform for digital payment. Similarly, we should make a jet engine for our fighter aircraft. He asked his scientists and youth to take it as a challenge.
