Why is it necessary to remember the pain of partition?
In the seminar held at Partnership Building, CM Yogi said that 14 August 1947 is not just a date, but the day of the destruction of millions of lives. At that time, about one and a half to two crore people were displaced, millions were killed and countless families were shattered forever. He reminded that it was not only an administrative decision, but a “moral and human crime”, which was carried out due to the politics of appeasement.

Birth of Pakistan and challenges of India
Yogi Adityanath said that Partition gave birth to a neighbor like Pakistan, which still conspires against India. He accused the Congress that he presented the partition as if the property was being divided between the two brothers. According to him, this policy of Congress has been pushing the country back since 1947.
Congress accused of emergency and other incidents
CM Yogi also targeted the Congress for not only partitions, but also emergency, anti -Sikh riots of 1984 and implementation of sections 370 in Kashmir. He said that Congress and other opposition parties should apologize to the country for these mistakes.
What is the government doing for hunting families?
The Chief Minister said that the Uttar Pradesh government has planned land allocation and relief package for the families of Partition. Its work has started in Bijnor, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri and Rampur districts. Also, there are plans to create a museum and digital archives so that the coming generations can understand this tragedy.
Message to be vigilant for India’s integrity
At the end of his address, Yogi Adityanath said that partition always teaches us that every citizen should be alert to protect the unity and integrity of the country. He described the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as a step taken towards justice towards partition victims.
