Despite Dharmendra being married to Prakash Kaur at the time, his connection with Hema was profound. In fact, in a 2013 interview, she admitted falling for him during the filming of “Main Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana,” charmed by his playful dance and mischievous charm. Despite facing obstacles from Hema’s father and Dharmendra’s first wife Prakash Kaur, the Dream Girl couple tied the knot in 1979 after dating for 5 years. In fact, Hema and Dharmendra even converted to Islam to tie the knot. The couple starred in over 42 films together, including classics like “Sholay,” “Dream Girl,” “Seeta Aur Geeta,” and “Raja Jani.” Their on-screen pairing was electric, adored by fans for their banter and effortless chemistry.
