Gulf Air flight A321 diverted to Mumbai after bomb threat email

New Delhi: A Gulf Air flight from Bahrain to Hyderabad was diverted to Mumbai on Sunday as airport authorities received an email that warned them of a bomb on board. Flight GF274, an Airbus A321 that was carrying 154 passengers, was preparing to land at Hyderabad’s Indira Gandhi International Airport around 4:55 am. The aircraft was immediately directed to Mumbai and it landed safely.

Emergency teams and bomb disposal units were deployed as a part of the standard procedure.
