‘I am blessed to be here’ What did the devotees who reached Ram temple say before the flag hoisting in Ayodhya…

Dhwajarohan Ceremony: On November 25, Prime Minister Modi will hoist the flag on the peak of Ayodhya Ram temple. For this flag hoisting ceremony, the city has been decorated with 100 tonnes of flowers and a large number of devotees are arriving for darshan.

Ayodhya: A large number of devotees reached Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Monday morning for ‘darshan’ of Lord Ram, ahead of the ‘flag hoisting’ ceremony to be held on November 25. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the saffron flag on the peak of Shri Ram temple on Tuesday. This is a big occasion, in which a large number of devotees are expected from across the country and abroad.

Preparations for the grand flag hoisting ceremony at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple are in full swing. The temple and the city are being decorated grandly with flowers. About 100 tonnes of flowers have been used to decorate Ayodhya for this sacred event. A devotee said that he would consider himself fortunate to have the darshan of Ram Lala. He said, “I am very excited that I had the privilege of seeing Ram Lalla before the flag hoisting ceremony tomorrow….”

Praising PM Modi for the development of Ayodhya, another devotee said, “I am from Karnataka. We reached Ayodhya yesterday evening. The system here is very good. PM Modi has developed Ayodhya a lot.”

Another devotee from Karnataka told ANI, “I have come here from Karnataka. We are going for darshan. All this is happening because Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of our country. Otherwise, none of this would have happened. He is great and we are proud of him.”

A devotee said, “I wanted to come here for a very long time. I am blessed to be here today. My ticket was booked, but everyone around me said that I will not get darshan because PM Modi is coming on the 25th. But I still came here and had darshan. I am very happy to be here.”

Meanwhile, security was tightened in the area and a team of Rapid Action Force (RAF) was deployed at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

A priest of the temple said that preparations are going on at full speed. “Preparations for the religious flag ceremony at the Ram temple are in full swing. A special feature of the decoration is the use of flowers, which are very dear to Lord Ram. Today Ayodhya is shining with flower decorations, in which marigold flowers have been planted first for Lord Ganesha and Lord Ram. About 100 tonnes of flowers have been used to decorate the temple and the city.”

It is noteworthy that the discovery of Indologist Lalit Mishra has brought the ancient flag of Ayodhya back to its rightful place. Mishra identified the flag while studying a painting from the Sachitra Ramayana of Mewar, and later confirmed its mention in the Ayodhya Kanda of Valmiki Ramayana. The flag flown has three symbols: Om, Surya and the Kovidar tree. The Kovidar tree is a hybrid of ‘Mandar’ and ‘Parijat’ trees, created by sage Kashyap, which shows the hybridization of ancient plants. Surya represents the Suryavansh of Lord Rama, and Om is the eternal spiritual sound.
