Many countries along with South and North Korea celebrate independence with India.

North and South Korea get freedom from Japan
North and South Korea, in both countries, the date of August 15 is celebrated as Guangbokjeol and Mukti Day.This is the day when Korea was freed from Japan’s possession after 35 years in 1945. Korea got independence from Japan after Japan’s defeat in World War II. While Mukti raised a ray of hope, it also started partition.
There was a temporary agreement between the Soviet Union and the United States for the Korean peninsula and it was divided on the 38th parallel line. Three years later, this political division turned into two different parts, which eventually gave rise to the Korean War in 1950. Nevertheless, despite decades of isolation, the two nations celebrate August 15 as the moment they achieved their land.
Bahrain declared himself an independent nation
From the 19th century, Britain used to protect and control foreign affairs of Bahrain, but the internal rule was in the hands of the al-Khalifa royal family. Britain announced in 1968. Said, by 1971, he will remove his military force from Persian Gulf “Truth States” (today’s UAE, Qatar and Bahrain). Earlier Bahrain wanted to join UAE but due to political differences, he changed the decision and on 14 August 1971, Bahrain declared himself an independent country. On 15 August 1971, Britain gave up its control from that country. In this way Bahrain became independent.
French liberatedRepublic of Congo
The Republic of Congo, which was once part of the French equatorial Africa, became independent from France on August 15, 1960. The capital, Brazavil, comes alive with parade, music and community celebrations every year on the occasion of the National Day of Congo. This is not like the Democratic Republic of Congo, which celebrates its freedom from Belgium on 30 June.
The independence of the Democratic Republic of Congo from Belgium came into effect on June 30, 1960, but the Republic of Congo (its Western neighbor) was liberated on August 15, 1960. This is the reason why the celebration of independence creates confusion between the two.
