A young man living in Bichhdaud of Ghatiya police station area of Ujjain district was married in the temple on June 16. The young man married the girl by paying Rs 1.80 lakh.
Two days later, two female relatives came to take his wife. When the young man became suspicious, he locked the bride in the room and called the police.
A woman who had come to pick up the bride threatened the young man by calling him an Indore MLA as her relative. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media. Police said that Sanjay Bairagi (35), resident of Bichdaud Ghatiya, is a vehicle driver. He was not getting married. His uncle had talked about getting him married to a girl from Indore.

Sanjay had gone to Barwah to look for a girl for marriage where he was introduced to two girls. Sanjay liked Bhavana Marathe resident of Laxmanpura Indore. Bhavna had seen Sanjay’s house on video call. After this she said yes to marriage. After the marriage was fixed, Bhavna’s relatives came to Ujjain by car and deposited Rs 11,000 online for the marriage.
On June 16, Bhavna came to the village with three people. Had taken Rs 1.80 lakh in cash before getting married. Whose video was made and an affidavit was also made. In which the date of six months ago was inserted. After this the marriage was conducted in the village temple.
The family started keeping an eye
Sanjay says that Bhavna had kept distance from him since marriage. She said on the wedding night itself that she was not feeling well. When the family became suspicious, they started keeping an eye on him.
On Wednesday night, Bhavna was asking someone on the phone to take me away from here. On Thursday morning two women came to take Bhavana. Feeling suspicious, Sanjay locked Bhavna in the room and informed the police. During this time, a woman was threatening Sanjay that the MLA of Indore is my relative. Whose video was also made by someone on mobile.
