Bhopal Independence Day 2025 Update: At the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal, CM Mohan Yadav hoisted the tricolor on 79th Independence Day, took the salute of the parade. Special events were seen in the Amrit Sarovars on the water conservation theme, strict security arrangements were seen in the entire state.
Mp independence day celebration: Today, on the auspicious occasion of the 79th Independence Day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav hoisted the tricolor at the historic Lal Parade Ground in the capital Bhopal and took the salute of the parade. This state-level ceremony not only saw a wonderful view of the spirit of patriotism, but this time the theme was also very special and forced to think-“A lake, a resolution-water conservation”. Cultural performances, patriotic songs and traditional dances won the hearts of the people. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion, so that the crowd of thousands could also be organized in a peaceful and safe environment.

Why is this special Independence Day theme-“One lake, a resolution”?
The Madhya Pradesh government has dedicated the festival of independence this time to water conservation and environmental protection. Special events are being organized at all the Amrit Sarovar sites of the state.
- Water conservation message: The people of the state are being motivated to save water and protect nature.
- Connection with MNREGA: Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) Under this, officers have been instructed to adopt Amrit Sarovar, so that they can be maintained for a long time.
- Respect and tradition: Flag hoisting at these lake sites is being done by freedom fighter, their family members or local Padma Award winners. If they are not available, then this honor is being given to the most senior citizen of the village.

What happened special in the red parade ground?
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took the salute of the parade after the flag hoisting. Police, NCC, Home Guards and teams from various departments performed in the parade. Balloons of tricolor colors were released in the sky and the entire ground echoed with the slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

Who hoisted the tricolor in the rest of the districts?
Apart from the capital, Deputy Chief Minister and ministers hoisted the flag in other districts of the state. Cultural programs and patriotic songs were organized locally in every district. Children also performed parade and dance performances in schools and colleges.
Water conservation and patriotism-what is connection?
The government believes that protecting the country’s independence and nature is connected to each other. Saving water and keeping the environment safe is the same resolution for the coming generations, as freedom fighters took the country to liberate the country.
