Amidst the dangerous air quality of Delhi-NCR, the UP government has taken a big step and completely banned diesel autos in Noida and Ghaziabad. The ban will be implemented in a phased manner in many districts including Meerut, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Hapur, Shamli till December 31. To control dust, smoke and pollution, anti-smog guns, water sprinkling, road cleaning and strict action against heavily polluting vehicles have been imposed.
