Shaw was given the responsibility of captaincy
According to reports, Maharashtra selectors and team management had already informed Shaw about taking over the captaincy if needed, and the opening batsman was advised to be ready for the role. This news is very good for Prithvi Shaw because if Maharashtra team performs well under his leadership and he himself scores runs, then he can make a comeback in IPL also.
