As winter approaches, US President Donald Trump stepped out in a burgundy scarf and a big black overcoat, and social media immediately caught his attention. His daily walk to Marine One on the South Lawn went viral when users started comparing his style to that of New York City’s newly elected mayor Zohran Mamdani.
The comparison came just hours after Trump met Mamdani at the White House. On Friday, the meeting between the two ended differently than some expected. Trump praised Mamdani and refuted the Republican Party’s leading attacks against him. Trump even said it was “okay” for Mamdani to call him a “fascist”, in response to a pointed question about his past statements about the president.
