CSK start disrespecting MS Dhoni as soon as Sanju Samson joins

Chennai Super Kings are likely to bid their veteran MS Dhoni a goodbye with his last probable season in the IPL. The veteran Indian star was recently spotted in CSK shirts, practising alongside teammates in the CSK academy.

The Chennai Super Kings have made some startling changes to their squad ahead of the upcoming IPL season. CSK released their star cricketers like Ravindra Jadeja and Matheesha Pathirana, as they restored their purse to bring in some new names who could increase their chances in the upcoming season.

The likes of Rachin Ravindra, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tripathi, and lastly Sam Curran would no longer be part of CSK, and they would have to depend on their newly included batter, Sanju Samson, for top-order stability alongside Ayush Mhatre and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Viral Video spots MS Dhoni getting in the groove in the CSK shirt

A video recently went viral on the Chennai Super Kings’ official X page, where they posted MS Dhoni facing Khaleel Ahmed in the nets. It looked like a field session, and Dhoni played his big shots.

He smacked Khaleel’s shorter deliveries with pull shots towards the square leg and mid-wicket boundary. The shots went off to the fence, as he hit a four and a six off two balls before hitting another one off to the boundary. However, he was eventually dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed.

The caption catches the eyes of MS Dhoni fans, as they feel disrespected

The caption of the same video, which marked MS Dhoni’s video, was seemingly disrespectful to the veteran, as he was deprioritized in it. The caption read, “Come for Thala’s big hits, stay for Khaleel’s comeback.”

The caption might have been given to flaunt CSK’s exceptional team strength, as they wanted to portray that they have some great hitters alongside bowlers who can also make strong comebacks in the game.

However, for MS Dhoni fans, it seemed that the franchise was not only moving on from the veteran but also disrespecting him after Sanju Samson’s inclusion into the team.

Will MS Dhoni continue as a gloveman or be used as an Impact player?

Sanju Samson marked one of the biggest trades in the history of the IPL, as he was swapped in for Ravindra Jadeja. CSK let go of one of their most premium names; this proves Samson’s importance within the Men in Yellow camp.

MS Dhoni has been serving as their premier gloveman in the squad for over 18 seasons, and whether he will be rested from such responsibilities remains to be seen. Moreover, the IPL offers the Impact Player facility, which can be used to bring in a player to either bat or bowl during an inning.

MS Dhoni or Sanju Samson, either of these players might be used as an impact player by the Chennai Super Kings team, as they would surely not be asking either of these two players to take the field without the gloves.
