gond ki raab recipe

  • First of all, mix ragi flour in a little water and make a thin paste. Keep in mind that there should not be any lumps in it.
  • Now cut almonds, cashews and walnuts into small pieces and add raisins as well.
  • Heat desi ghee in a pan, fry all the nuts and raisins a little, take them out in a separate plate and also roast the coconut.
  • Now you have to fry the gum well in the same ghee until it swells and becomes crunchy, but keep the flame medium so that the gum does not burn and gets cooked inside.
  • Now, in the ghee left in the pan, add the ragi flour dissolved in one cup of water and cook till it boils.
  • When the ragi flour starts thickening a little, add jaggery to it and cook while stirring until it dissolves. Keep in mind that the texture of Raab should remain exactly like soup. It should not be too thick.
  • After the jaggery dissolves, add dry ginger powder, black pepper powder and cardamom powder along with roasted gum, nuts, raisins and serve it hot.
