Fake Check: A video of PM Modi is going viral on social media, in which he is seen supporting an investment platform for an investment. This video has turned out to be completely fake in the PIB fact check. It has been manipulated with the help of AI.

Fact check: The fact check unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) said on Thursday, August 14 that a video broadcast online, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seen supporting an investment forum called Quantumai, is completely fake. This clip embedded in an online advertisement claims that PM Modi is urging citizens to invest Rs 21,000 in this platform and calling it a government -backed initiative. The PIB Fact check has clearly stated that the footage has been digitally manipulated and has no relation with any legitimate government scheme.

Facebook page named ‘Transaction Rights 54’

The video digitally manipulated has been made with the help of AI, which shows PM Modi endoring the investment platform. On behalf of the PIB fact check team, it was said that a Facebook page named ‘Transaction Rights 54’ is running an advertisement propagating the investment platform. The advertisement falsely claimed that @Finminindia has introduced an investment platform that promises ₹ 3.5 lakh per month on an investment of ₹ 21,000. This is a scam. This is a fake video, do not get into it. Beware of such videos promoting investment platforms/products or schemes. However, when it opened the Facebook page named ‘Transaction Rights 54’, this video has now been deleted from there.

PIB appeals to people

The PIB warned that such manipulated videos are part of the growing trend of online investment scams that mislead people. Citizens have been advised to be vigilant with such fake advertisements and not to connect with their links or offers. The PIB also reiterated that there is no official investment scheme in the name of the Prime Minister in relation to QuantmaII or other similar platforms. People watching such materials should inform the concerned authorities and avoid sharing it further to prevent the spread of wrong information.
