Ingredients for Bajra Churma
To make millet churma, you need 1 cup millet flour, half cup jaggery, 4-5 tablespoons sesame oil or you can use desi ghee. Now let us know the method of making it.
How to make millet flour churma
- The first step is to take millet flour in a plate and add desi ghee or a little sesame oil to it and mix it well.
- Now keep adding water little by little and make its dough, the way you make roti dough. Knead it well until it becomes smooth.
- Now make big balls of the dough and then roll it into thick rotis. Put it on the pan, apply some ghee or sesame oil and bake it. Keep in mind that it has to be baked only golden, do not make it too hard.
- Now after removing the roti from the pan, break it into pieces and after it cools down, mash it well with hands so that it becomes like a powder.
- Now add some sesame oil or desi ghee along with jaggery in the pan and let it melt slightly. Now add the roti to the powdered millet and stir well until both the ingredients mix.
- In this way your millet churma will be ready, to which you can add some desi ghee while serving. Actually, the specialty of Rajasthani food is that desi ghee is added in abundance in it, which is helpful in keeping the bones strong.
- You can also add a little dry ginger and black pepper powder to this churma. This will also increase the taste and it will become even more beneficial for winter.
- Bajra churma laddus can also be tied and if you are serving it immediately, it can be garnished with nuts like almonds, pistachios which give it a nice crunch.
