Ayodhya News: After celebrating the temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, crores of people from all over the world have reached till now. About 23 crore tourists had come between January-June 2025. About 50 crore tourists are expected to reach the city by December 2025.

Due to this, tourism in Ayodhya is going to increase more than before.
Revenue from tourism is estimated to reach Rs 4 lakh crore
About 23 crore tourists had come to Ayodhya between January-June 2025. About 50 crore tourists are expected to reach the city by December 2025. With the increase in the number of tourists, Ayodhya’s tourism will reach Rs 4 lakh crore in the coming years. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working on a comprehensive action plan to make Uttar Pradesh a one trillion dollar economy by 2029. Ayodhya tourism is playing an important role in fulfilling this mission of CM Yogi. Ayodhya is currently contributing 1.5% to the GSDP of Uttar Pradesh. Ayodhya’s share will further increase with the increase in the number of tourists.
Ayodhya is becoming the biggest hub of tourism
After the construction of Shri Ram Temple, there is an influx of tourists in Ayodhya. So far, approximately Rs 2150 crore has been spent on Ram Temple and its related construction work. The hotels, restaurants, shops, tours and travels, puja material and prasad businesses here are earning record breaking profits. In view of the increasing number of tourists, more than 76 hotels have opened in Ayodhya. Private sector hotel companies IHCL, Marriott, Radiance, Kamat, Lemon Tree are investing huge amounts. Full care is being taken for the comfort and convenience of the tourists coming from the country and the world.
Ayodhya’s share in tourism of Uttar Pradesh
The tourism sector of Uttar Pradesh will become an industry worth Rs 70,000 crore. Ayodhya alone will contribute about 25% in this. If similar growth is seen in the tourism sector in future, then the target of Rs 4 lakh crore revenue will be easily achieved. After the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, the annual turnover of industries related to pilgrimage is increasing day by day. Under the government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, not only economic development has taken place, but social harmony and cultural identity is also getting strengthened. Temples and related activities in Uttar Pradesh have contributed approximately ₹1.25 lakh crore to the economy of Uttar Pradesh.

The tourism growth of Ramnagari is not just a religious pilgrimage but a story of multidimensional economic and social transformation of Uttar Pradesh. With this, Ayodhya is setting new parameters of development. Deepotsav, which was being held under the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath even before the consecration of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, set new records year after year and attracted devotees from India and abroad to Ayodhya. Now after the flag hoisting program to be held in Ayodhya, a large number of devotees are expected to come. This will not only further increase the employment of local traders, but will also give impetus to the business of small entrepreneurs and handicraftsmen.
