The good thing is that 99.67% active MNREGA workers are already linked to Aadhaar, so now the village employees will complete the verification in one click, that too in just 1 minute. The Ministry of Rural Development says that e-KYC is the fastest and secure method for MNREGA job card verification. With this, the MNREGA scheme will remain transparent, only genuine laborers will benefit and any kind of wrong information or fake cards can be stopped.
New system will be implemented in 2.69 lakh gram panchayats of the country
MNREGA scheme runs in 2.69 lakh gram panchayats across the country. The new e-KYC system will be used at all these places so that no verification remains pending.
MNREGA job card will be renewed every 5 years
According to the new rule of the government, job card verification will continue continuously. But it is mandatory to renew the job card every 5 years. To make this renewal process easier, states have been asked to use the e-KYC feature present in the NMMS app.

99.67% MNREGA workers are already linked with Aadhaar. Therefore the new process is very fast. Any village employee, employment assistant, worksite supervisor, mate or any Gram Panchayat level officer will take a live photo of your face through the e-KYC feature present in the NMMS app. This photo will be matched with Aadhaar data in real time and verification will be completed in just 1 minute.
