Banswara Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Hostel: The incident of ragging and assault on Tuesday night at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hostel in Katria in Banswara district shook the entire area. It is alleged that some senior students living in the hostel called the junior students out of the room late at night and behaved indecently with them. During this time three students were seriously injured, who had to be admitted to the nearest hospital.

- According to local sources, the incident occurred around 11 am on August 12. The victim students were in their rooms, when senior students called them out and started fighting after intimidation. The shocking thing is that no warden was present in the hostel at the time of the incident, due to which questions are being raised on the negligence of security and management.
- After the incident, the family members and other students of the injured students became angry. On Wednesday morning, the victim student reached Kalinjara police station and lodged a complaint about the entire incident. Parents and local people also sought answers from the hostel administration and demanded to tighten the monitoring system in the hostel.
There was a stir in the name of ragging in college
- Kalinjara Thanadikari Vikram Singh said that a case has been registered against 3-4 students on the basis of the complaint of the victims. The police have received medical reports and started inquiries to identify the accused. Taking the matter seriously, the investigation team has been formed, which will also record the statement from other students present in the hostel.
