SP MLA Pooja Pal from Kaushambi’s Chail seat said during a 24-hour discussion on “Vision-2047” in the monsoon session of the assembly that CM Yogi did the task of merging her husband’s killer Atik Ahmed into the soil. He also said that the Chief Minister saw his hidden tears, which no one had seen for years.
On 15 April 2023, after the murder of Atik Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in Prayagraj, Pooja Pal was seen changing. His attitude became more soft and supported by BJP’s policies than SP.

Pooja Pal’s politics began with an individual tragedy. In 2005, her husband and Bahujan Samaj Party MLA Raju Pal was killed. Atik Ahmed and his gang were accused of this murder. After the husband’s death, Pooja Pal stepped into politics and in 2007 and 2012, Prayagraj was a BSP MLA from West. In 2022, the Samajwadi Party gave him a ticket from Chail, from where he won.

CM has praised Yogi before earlier
This is not the first time Pooja Pal has openly praised Yogi Adityanath. He also helped the BJP during the Rajya Sabha elections and publicly called the Chief Minister a “brother”. He also indirectly benefited the BJP in last year’s by -elections.
Why the SP’s attitude is so strict?
The SP described Pooja Pal’s statement as “anti -party activity” and “indiscipline”. The party believes that the opposition leader is openly supporting the Chief Minister’s policies, especially in the electoral atmosphere, against the ideology and strategy of the party.
