Dr. Manmohan Vaidya’s book ‘Hum aur Yeh Vishwa’ was released by Suruchi Prakashan in Bhopal. The concept, culture and study of India were discussed in the programme. Former Vice President Dhankhar described the book as a mirror of India’s pride.
Bhopal. Former Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar released the book ‘Hum aur Yeh Vishwa’ by senior RSS pracharak Dr. Manmohan Vaidya at Rabindra Bhawan in Bhopal. In the dignified program, many speakers presented their views on India’s basic concept, self-respect, cultural consciousness and studious tradition.
On this occasion, Peethadhishwar Riteshwar Ji Maharaj of Shri Anandam Dham Ashram, Vrindavan, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Group Editor of Jagran Vishnu Tripathi, President of Suruchi Prakashan Rajiv Tuli and writer Dr. Manmohan Vaidya revealed the ideology of the Sangh.
The author of the book, Dr. Manmohan Vaidya, stressed the need for Indianness, study and discussion. He said in his speech that before making India, it is necessary that we first recognize India, recognize its existence, then know India, then become India and after that make India. He started his address with his experience which turned him towards writing. Vaidya told that, when Pranab Mukherjee was invited to address the third year training class of the Sangh, some people protested against him without any reason. This one incident inspired him to write. Vaidya said that in the year 2018 only, between June 1 and 6, 378 people had requested to meet him, which shows that there is a keen interest in the society for dialogue regarding the Sangh.
He said that unnecessary opposition to the Sangh often increases the acceptability of the Sangh. Giving the example of Join RSS website, he said that in the month of October alone, 48,890 people decided to join as volunteers. This reflects India’s growing attraction towards social change and organization.
Discussing the concept of India, he said that we have to understand all those statements which influence our thinking. He said on the line “Hum bubblele hain iske” from the popular song “Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara” that such sentiments take us away from our basic consciousness. He said that it is wrong to say that there is cultural diversity in India. Rather, it is more correct to say that India has only one culture which manifests itself in diverse forms. Diversity in India is a branch of the original culture, not its option.
He said that the concept of Welfare State is not India’s own concept, but an idea that came from the West. India’s tradition has been based on society-based responsibility. He told that this book is divided into four important sections and each section gives a new vision on the discussions in India.
Study is the root of India’s tradition – Vishnu Tripathi
Vishnu Tripathi, group editor of Jagran Group, said that this book has not been written just for collection in home or library, but it requires study, meditation and language. He said that India’s tradition is not based on any one book or one belief. There are many streams of knowledge here. Our spirituality also arises from study and contemplation. On the questions raised on India’s identity, he clearly said that debates like whether India is a Hindu nation or not arise due to lack of study. When the feeling of pride in India and Indianness is established, such questions disappear by themselves. Giving the example of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, he said that he was a great worshiper of Ramnaam and criticized Babar directly in his hymns. With the spread of this Ramnaam, he reached Baghdad. This example shows both the depth and breadth of Indian spirituality.
“The book will awaken the sleeping one” – Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar
Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that it is a great privilege for him to have the opportunity to come to Bhopal and speak on this book. He said that ‘Hum Aur Ye Vishwa’ is not just a book, but a mirror of India’s glorious past and a book that shows the direction for building the future. Dhankhar said that this book is a collection of experiences of eight years, which also includes two important articles on Pranab Mukherjee.
While giving a speech in English, he said that I am speaking in English so that even those who do not want to understand the positive image of the country, can become familiar with the actual nature of India in clear and simple words. He also said that today’s India is changing rapidly, progressing in every area and emerging as a strong, confident and decisive country on the world stage.
Earlier, at the beginning of the program, Rajeev Tuli introduced the tradition and future direction of Suruchi Prakashan. He said that Suruchi Prakashan is continuously publishing books, research works and thoughtful materials on various important topics of social life.
He said that important publications on Walkism, Panch Parivartan and other intellectual issues are also going to come out in the coming months. Rajeev Tuli said that while reading the book “Hum aur Yeh Vishwa” it feels as if a direct communication is being established between the reader and the book.
He also clarified that even though the English version of this book was published earlier, many important and new information has been added in the current edition. This book is very useful for reading, understanding and writing commentaries on the major discussions of today’s society.
Distinguished citizens, social workers and many representatives of the intellectual world were also present in the program. The program was conducted by senior litterateur Dr. Sadhna Balwate. Expressing his gratitude, Ankur Pathak thanked all the guests, dignitaries and book lovers present. The program concluded with Vande Mataram.
