Why did the weather change during Nautapa?
Generally, during Nautapa, the effect of extreme heat and heat wave increases in North India. But this time due to western disturbance and increase in moisture in the atmosphere, a sudden change is being seen in the weather. According to meteorologists, due to the collision of moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and western winds, pre-monsoon like activities have become active in many parts of Uttar Pradesh. This is the reason why strong storms and rains are being seen.

The Meteorological Department has advised people to take special precautions during bad weather. Scientists have warned that standing under trees and electric poles during a storm can prove dangerous. People have been advised to stay safe indoors during inclement weather and avoid going out unless necessary.
