CM Mohan Yadav paid tribute on Rani Durgavati Martyrdom Day in Jabalpur and made big announcements related to airport naming, farmers’ interest and tribal development.
Bhopal/Jabalpur. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the program organized on 24th June on the occasion of 463rd martyrdom day of Veerangana Rani Durgavati at her Samadhi site located in Narrai Nala, Jabalpur. The Chief Minister reached the Samadhi site and paid homage to Rani Durgavati and bowed to her. During this, he offered floral tributes to the statue of martyr Veer Narayan and also worshiped Bada Dev, the worshipable deity of Gond community. The Chief Minister also inspected the exhibition set up at the venue.
Queen Durgavati was a symbol of courage and valor.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said in his address that Rani Durgavati was an example of indomitable courage, bravery and bravery. The unique form of women power is visible in her personality. He said that today is the 463rd martyrdom day of this great warrior who defeated the Mughals in the battlefield. Rani Durgavati ruled over 52 strongholds of the Gondwana kingdom. After the death of her husband, she placed her five-year-old son on the throne and devoted herself to the service of the state and the people for 15 years.
Proposal to name Jabalpur airport after Rani Durgavati
The Chief Minister said that today the entire country remembers Rani Durgavati with respect, who was born about five centuries ago. He told that after the formation of the state government, the first meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in Jabalpur dedicating it to Rani Durgavati. After this, the second cabinet meeting was held in Sangrampur, the capital of his Gondwana Empire. While announcing, Dr. Yadav said that a proposal will be sent to the Civil Aviation Ministry of the Central Government to name Jabalpur Airport after the brave queen Rani Durgavati.
Rani Durgavati Institute being built at a cost of Rs 100 crore
The Chief Minister said that a modern institute dedicated to Rani Durgavati is being built near Madan Mahal in Jabalpur at a cost of about Rs 100 crore. It will be launched soon. Through this institute, the coming generations will get information about the life, struggle and contribution of Rani Durgavati. He informed that a modern zoo and wild animal rescue center is also being constructed in Jabalpur in the name of Rani Durgavati. Apart from this, the 35th battalion based in Mandla has also been named after Rani Durgavati.
The story of heroes is getting recognition through ‘Virasat se Vikas’ campaign
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Virasat Se Vikas’ campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to convey the valor and rich heritage of the country’s great heroes to the new generation. He said that the reign of Rani Durgavati is considered to be the golden age of the Gond Empire. He told that Rani Durgavati had promoted important works like seed conservation, crop rotation system and water conservation in the interest of farmers. Due to his efficient management the grain stores in the state were always full.
Big decisions of the government for farmer welfare
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is continuously taking important decisions while giving top priority to the interests of farmers. He said that now farmers will not have to follow the deadline of March 31 to repay the loan given at zero percent interest. Farmers will be able to deposit the loan within one year from the day they receive it. He said that the state government will pay Rs 880 crore to the financial institutions for this arrangement. Besides, the government is also continuously working for the development of tourism, industry and infrastructure.
Farmers will get four times compensation on land acquisition
The Chief Minister announced that farmers will now be compensated up to four times when land is acquired for government projects. He said that farmers cultivating coarse grains like Kodo-Kutki are being provided benefits through the Rani Durgavati Shri Anna Protsahan Yojana run in the state.
Economic strength is increasing through Ladli Brahmin Yojana and PM Samman Nidhi.
Dr. Yadav said that the amount of Rs 1500 given to women every month under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana has increased their economic self-reliance. Along with this, farmers are also getting the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He said that the work done by Rani Durgavati for the welfare of farmers and society is a source of inspiration even today. The state government is also working continuously in the same spirit for the welfare of farmers and public welfare.
Government committed to the upliftment of tribal society
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working for the development of the tribal society. He said that it is a matter of pride for the country that Draupadi Murmu, who comes from the tribal community, is today serving as the President, the highest constitutional post of the country. He said that the state government is working on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Prayas” and is fulfilling the promises it makes.
