1 lakh monthly stipend with salary, good package, then why are users saying bad things about AI company?

An AI company posted jobs for interns in Bengaluru at Rs 1 lakh per month. In this, there was a condition of working 12 hours, 6 days a week. The company was strongly criticized on social media for these long working hours.

The co-founder of a San Francisco-based AI company posted a post on LinkedIn looking for interns for the Bengaluru location. He told that the selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs 1 lakh every month and many other benefits. But, a big condition was that they would have to work from 11 am to 11 pm, i.e. 12 hours. This post by Indian-origin Aditya Thakur, co-founder of Doge AI, drew sharp reactions regarding working hours.

work and salary

It is clearly written in the post that they are Tier-1 VC funded and Fortune 500 company. They’re looking for people who love building fast-growing products, solving deep technical challenges, and shaping the future. He also said that there is a need for interns to join immediately in Bengaluru, who will have to work from 11 am to 11 pm, 6 days a week.

He further said that the interns will also get a stipend of Rs 1 lakh every month and subscription for food, gym or hobby. Applicants must be high performers, have a ‘can do’ attitude, take responsibility and have a desire to prove themselves.

people reacted

Many social media users did not like this job advertisement, especially the condition of 12 hours work. Many people wrote that when other countries are moving towards working 4 days a week to increase productivity, then Indian companies are putting the lives of employees at stake for more profits. One user wrote, ‘Please tell me when a person who works 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, will find time for gym and hobbies.’
