Indian Test team captain Shubman Gill is currently suffering from injury. He complained of neck spasm during the Kolkata Test. Due to which he could not play the entire match and was admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata. Since then, his condition is being closely monitored under the supervision of BCCI and local doctors. According to media reports, BCCI has now taken a big decision out of caution and has released Shubman Gill from the squad. That means he is out of the Guwahati Test.
Shubhman Gill came to Guwahati with the team on 19 November. But on November 20, he was not seen in the team’s practice session. Since then, news of his not playing was coming out. According to reports, he has been released from the team and has left for Mumbai, where he will work on his injury. He will rest in Mumbai for the next two-three days and after that will take advice from Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala. After this, he can also go to BCCI Center of Excellence for the recovery process.
Big responsibility on Rishabh Pant
In the absence of Shubman Gill, Team India will play the Guwahati Test under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant. Even in the last match, after Gill got injured, Rishabh Pant took command of the team.
