In the coming few years, the flag of development of Ayodhya will be hoisted all over the world. The spiritual city Ayodhya is setting new standards of development.

Ayodhya is becoming a smart city

The confluence of religious heritage, modern technology, green energy and sustainable urban development is shaping Ayodhya in a new form so that Ayodhya can be restored to its old identity as the Sun City. Initiatives like Museum of Temple, Greenfield Township, Solar Energy City, Digital Virtual Darshan, Vedic Forest and climate-protection based schemes have laid a decisive foundation towards establishing Ayodhya as a hub of global religious-tourism, health-security and green development. Ayodhya occupies the first position in the ranking of 17 smart cities of Uttar Pradesh. Under Ayodhya Master Plan 2031, Ayodhya is being made a solar energy based city.

Development based on Greenfield Township Project

Ayodhya is being developed under the Greenfield Township Project. In this, both modernity and environment are being given equal priority. This is happening on the basis of the guidelines of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This hi-tech township being developed on 550 acres under the ‘Navya Ayodhya’ scheme is one of the most advanced projects in the state. Here Rs 218 crore is being spent on modern structures like underground drainage, electrical duct. A 200-acre green area as well as a super-speciality medical centre, hi-tech park and wellness hub are being developed, which will transform the township into a sustainable, eco-friendly and future-oriented smart city.

Solar City Ayodhya will give a glimpse of ancient glory

The objective of making the spiritual city Ayodhya a hi-tech city is broad. This will provide world class facilities to the tourists coming from abroad and will also provide convenience to the city residents. Ayodhya has been declared a model solar city under the Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy-2022. This 40 MW capacity plant, established by NTPC Green Energy Limited in two villages on the banks of Saryu, is operated on 30 years lease on 165 hectares of government land. The plant is meeting 25-30% of the city’s estimated power demand of 198 MW. This initiative is establishing Ayodhya as a leading model city towards energy self-reliance and widespread use of clean energy.

Renewable energy projects will give a new look to the city

The process of planting 15,000 saplings at 75 sites will be conducted through the Green Fund constituted by the Ayodhya Development Authority, in which Miyawaki technology will also be used. The work of setting up EV charging stations at 13 public places by ADA in collaboration with Tata Power, Reliance and Adani Group is in progress. Of these, 10 stations are operational, while the remaining 3 stations will be started soon. In this way, Ayodhya is also setting new records in the field of renewable energy.
