A Class 10 student in New Delhi committed suicide due to alleged teacher harassment. In his suicide note, he demanded action against the teachers, so that no other student has to face this. Her family had also earlier complained of harassment.
New Delhi: A 16-year-old Class 10 student, who allegedly committed suicide at New Delhi’s Rajendra Place metro station, has demanded action against school teachers in his suicide note. The student has written in the suicide note that the teachers forced him to take such a step. The suicide note found in her school bag read, “I am very sorry that I did this, but the school staff said so much that I had to do it. If any part of my body is functional or in working condition, please donate it to someone who really needs it. My parents did a lot; I am sad that I could not give them anything. I’m sorry, brother, I was rude to you. I’m sorry, mom, I broke your heart so many times. Broke it, now I’ll break it for the last time.”
The student left a sad story of pain
The note further read – “The school teachers are still there. What can I say to them? My last wish is that action be taken against them so that no other student does what I did… I’m sorry, but the teachers did this to me.” Meanwhile, students and their parents protested outside the school over the death of the 16-year-old student.
According to the FIR, the boy’s father alleged that his son was under severe mental stress due to continuous harassment by several teachers of the school. The student complained to his parents about the teachers’ behavior, but his pleas for help fell on deaf ears. On November 18, when his father was away, the Class 10 student left for school, leaving behind a tragic tale of pain. The parents said they had made several verbal complaints to the teachers and the principal, but the alleged harassment continued.
Student jumped from platform number 2 of Rajendra Place metro station
The FIR states that he allegedly jumped from platform number 2 of Rajendra Place metro station. Police found his school bag from the metro station, which contained a suicide note. The contents of the note were mentioned in the FIR, in which he apologized to his family and wrote that the school teachers had hurt him deeply. She requested that action be taken so that no other child suffers like her. She also mentioned donating her organs, apologized to her parents and brother, and reiterated that the teachers were responsible for what happened. Students often complained about the behavior of some teachers. The boy had told his parents that some teachers used to scold, humiliate and mentally torture him on small matters.
