For the first time, ODOP products from UP will be displayed on a large scale in the National Jamboree 2024. This international event organized in Lucknow will provide global recognition and economic opportunities to artisans, craftsmen and local industries.
Lucknow. The rich culture, tradition and craftsmanship of Uttar Pradesh is now going to create a new identity at the global level. For the first time this year, One District One Product (ODOP) products will be displayed on a large scale in the 19th National Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides. After six decades, this event is being held in Uttar Pradesh, in which lakhs of participants and international delegates will reach Lucknow from 23 to 29 November.
The shine of UP’s handicrafts will be visible in the ODOP pavilion.
In this jamboree organized under the guidance of Yogi government, the craftsmen and local products of UP have been given a special place. The ODOP Pavilion will feature prominently:
- Banarasi and silk sarees
- Chandauli’s zari-zardozi
- Chikankari of Lucknow
- Petha of Agra
- Ghazipur Jute Wall Hangings
- Jaunpur woolen carpets
This pavilion will not only showcase the beauty of these products but will also present to the world the hard work, tradition and skill of the craftsmen working behind them.
National Jamboree will bring big economic opportunities for UP

32,000 participants under the theme ‘Strong Youth-Developed India’
The theme of this Jamboree is ‘Strong Youth-Developed India’. It will be attended by more than 32,000 participants, including approximately 2,000 international delegates from the Asia-Pacific region. This event is not only a celebration of the energy and leadership potential of the youth, but also an opportunity to present the cultural richness of India to the world.
