Adani’s big deal with Google
In today’s time, data centers are most needed to run AI, chatbots and big tech companies. The bigger the data centers, the faster the technology will move. Adani has seized this opportunity. Adani Group has joined hands with Google, under which a very large (gigawatt scale) data center project is being built in Visakhapatnam. The company aims to build a huge data center platform of 3 gigawatt (GW) by the year 2030. Speaking on this partnership, Gautam Adani said a very powerful thing, which made a lot of headlines, he said – ‘Infrastructure gives strength (muscle) to a country, and intelligence (AI) gives that country mastery over the world.’
Adani’s entry in nuclear power
Data centers and huge AI machines require huge amounts of electricity 24 hours a day, non-stop. To end this power crisis forever, Adani has made a big strategic plan. Adani Group has officially entered the business of atomic energy. The land for this has also been finalized. The company aims to generate 10 gigawatt (GW) of nuclear power by 2035. To meet the power shortage, Adani Power will spend Rs 2 lakh crore in the next 5 years to increase its capacity to 45 GW. Apart from this, a 5,000 MW hydro project is also being started in collaboration with the neighboring country Bhutan.
We made it when it was most difficult – Adani
In the recent past, Adani Group had to go through many stringent tests and investigations. Giving a direct reply to his critics, Gautam Adani said, ‘We built when it was most difficult for us to build.’ Despite all the difficulties and immense pressure, the financial figures of Adani Group are testifying that their momentum has not stopped. The company’s total revenue has increased by 7.4% to ₹2.92 lakh crore. After deducting tax, the company’s net profit has increased by about 14% to ₹ 46,376 crore. Adani Group alone has spent more than 30% (₹ 1.5 lakh crore) of the new investments (capital expenditure) made by the private sector in India this year on the country’s infrastructure.
