Anmol Bishnoi: Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of Baba Siddiqui murder case accused and jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, reached India after being extradited from America on Wednesday 19 November. As soon as he reached Delhi, a team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) took him directly to Patiala House Court. Let us tell you that Anmol is facing more than one criminal case in many states of India.
Anmol Bishnoi faces more than 18 cases in India
The first picture of Anmol Bishnoi in the custody of anti-terrorism agency NIA has also surfaced, in which Anmol is shown being held from behind in the middle by two NIA officers. Anmol Bishnoi has at least 18 criminal cases registered against him in India. These include conspiracy to murder former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, involvement in the murder of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022 and firing outside the residence of actor Salman Khan, among many other cases. Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside his Bandra office on 12 October 2024. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police had arrested 26 people in this case.
Government should ensure the safety of Anmol Bishnoi
Earlier on Wednesday, Anmol Bishnoi’s cousin Ramesh Bishnoi urged the Central government to ensure Anmol’s safety after he was brought to India. Ramesh said that Anmol is being punished only for being Lawrence Bishnoi’s younger brother. The law will take its course, he said. Our family respects the law and we are law abiding people, but today our biggest concern is that if he (Anmol Bishnoi) is being brought to India, the Center should ensure his safety.
How did Anmol Bishnoi reach America?
Anmol Bishnoi, a resident of Fazilka district of Punjab, had fled India through a fake passport in 2021 and was absconding since then. According to investigators, he first went to Nepal and then reached America via Dubai and Kenya. Let us tell you that after Lawrence Bishnoi went to jail, Anmol had allegedly taken over the responsibility of co-ordination of operations of big gangs from abroad.
