Congress is defaming the Election Commission, letter of 272 retired judges and officers against Rahul Gandhi

272 retired judges, bureaucrats and military officers have accused Rahul Gandhi of defaming the Election Commission without any evidence. In the open letter against the opposition, it was said that such statements weaken democracy and the attack on the Election Commission is a sign of frustration.

Retired Officers Letter Against Rahul Gandhi: 272 retired judges and bureaucrats from across the country have written an open letter on the allegations of vote theft by Rahul Gandhi. In this, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party have been strongly criticized for defaming the Election Commission. In the letter, 16 former judges, 123 retired bureaucrats, 14 former ambassadors and 133 former military officers have written that Congress is conspiring to tarnish the image of all the constitutional institutions including the Election Commission by making serious allegations without evidence.

Congress has not yet made an official complaint

It has been written in this letter that today India’s democracy is facing challenges not from any external attack, but from poisonous political rhetoric within the country itself. Congress and the opposition are claiming to have evidence against the Election Commission, but till now neither any official complaint has been given nor any affidavit has been issued. This proves that these allegations are only politically motivated and there is no truth in them.

Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to threaten Election Commission officials

The letter also mentions Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s comments in which he accused the Election Commission of stealing votes. It was also said in the letter that such statements seem to be an attempt to threaten the Election Commission officials.

Calling Election Commission BJP’s B team is just frustration

Many senior officials believe that the Election Commission has completed the SIR process with complete honesty. In this, new and eligible voters have been added by removing fake voters from the voter list. At the same time, the opposition has called the Election Commission the ‘B-team’ of BJP, which reflects political frustration and not truth. Even when opposition parties win elections in a state, they do not criticize the EC, but if the result even slightly goes against them, the Election Commission is immediately made the villain. This is a kind of selective anger.
