Gir National Park is the only habitat of Asiatic lions. If you are also interested in seeing lions in the forest with your family, then go for a tour by adopting these 7 tips.

Take these precautions while going to Gir National Park

  1. If you are going to Gir National Park with family, then you need to be more careful. You should not get out of the vehicle during safari. This is the natural habitat of lions. If you go out for a walk, it is possible that a lion will attack.
  2. Whenever you go to a national park, tell all the family members that you should neither play music nor speak loudly at such a place. Lions as well as other wildlife are sensitive to sounds, due to which they may have trouble with loud noises.
  3. Even if you are going on safari in winter season, you will be exposed to the scorching heat in the open jeep. For this reason you should wear cotton clothes. Also apply sunscreen and also wear a hat or cap so that the direct rays of the sun do not fall on your eyes.
  4. If you see animals, take photos of them but keep the camera flash off. The animals get startled due to the flash.
  5. While traveling in safari, you should not take food items in your hand but should keep them locked inside the back. Animals present in the forest may be attracted by seeing food items.
  6. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep the National Park clean and tidy. If you are going for safari, never throw plastic packets or bottles. You keep it in your bag only and throw it in the dustbin when you take it out.
