CG Naxal Encounter: After Hidma, 7 Naxalites including Joga alias Tek Shankar killed, cache of weapons recovered

Chhattisgarh Naxal Encounter: 7 Naxalites including Joga alias Tek Shankar killed in a fierce encounter between security forces and Naxalites on the Chhattisgarh-Andhra border. The next day after Hidma was killed, a total of 13 Maoists were killed in 24 hours. A large quantity of weapons recovered.

The silence of the dense forests was again broken by the sound of bullets late Tuesday night. Once again a major Naxalite leadership was killed in a fierce encounter between security forces and Naxalites on the Chhattisgarh-Andhra Pradesh border. Just the day after the killing of Hidma and his wife, another fierce encounter took place in Sukma district, in which 7 Naxalites were killed by security forces. Including these, a total of 13 Maoists have been killed in 24 hours.

7 Naxalites including Joga alias Tek Shankar killed

According to sources, Naxalites attacked the security forces during the search operation in the early hours of Wednesday morning, after which the encounter started. In this, a big Maoist leader named Joga alias Tek Shankar was also killed. Among the 7 killed Naxalites, 4 male and 3 female Maoists are said to be included. During the search, the police recovered a huge quantity of weapons, which included a total of 8 weapons including 2 AK-47s.

Second big blow after Hidma’s death

A day earlier, notorious Naxalite commander Hidma and his wife Raje were killed in an encounter. Hidma has been considered the biggest face of Naxalite violence for years. Repeated encounter in the same area is an indication that the pressure of security forces on the large core team of Naxalites is continuously increasing.

Home Minister’s message and deadline of 30 November

State Home Minister Vijay Sharma had recently visited the house of slain Hidma and met her mother. He had recorded a video message and appealed to Hidma to surrender and gave her time till November 30. Even after this, Hidma did not give up his weapons and was killed in the encounter on Tuesday.

Second biggest success of this year in Naxal eradication campaign

Security forces say that in the last few months, the Naxalite network is being weakened through continuous intelligence and ground operations. The killing of 13 Naxalites in 24 hours is being considered a very important achievement in the Naxal eradication campaign.
